Andrew Kay (LLB Hons)
Andrew is one of the founding directors and shareholders of Arkade Property and currently heads the commercial property department, which deals with the sale and letting of commercial property and the sale and acquisition of businesses as a going concern. His vast knowledge of the legal aspects of these transactions in addition to his experience of Birmingham property generally, enables him to provide a service of the highest standard across the West Midlands
Andrew Kay was educated at Solihull School and studied law at Manchester University (1979 – 1982,) where he was awarded the International Law prize, and Chester Law College (1982 – 1983) before joining Blakemores Solicitors in 1983. He subsequently joined Sydney Mitchell Solicitors where he became a partner, specialising in residential and commercial property law.
Andrew is married to Fiona and has three beautiful daughters (Ellen, Roisin and Danielle.) Ellen and Roisin are now doctors having studied medicine at Bristol and Nottingham Universities respectively and Danielle is at Leeds University doing a masters in physiology. Fiona is a consultant and heads the matrimonial department at Weightmans Solicitors, Birmingham.
Much of Andrew's spare time is spent despairing over the form of his beloved Burnley Football Club who he has followed since the late 1960s. The rest is spent losing golf balls over sundry West Midlands golf courses or cycling (very slowly) between cake stops. In his youth he played football for Manchester University and junior county tennis for Greater Manchester.
