Director
Andrew is one of the founding directors and shareholders of Arkade Property and currently heads the commercial property department, which deals with the sale and letting of commercial property and the sale and acquisition of businesses as a going concern. His vast knowledge of the legal aspects of these transactions, in addition to his experience of Birmingham property generally, enables him to provide a service of the highest standard across the West Midlands
Personal
Andrew is married with three daughters, Ellen, Roisin and Danielle. Ellen and Roisin are both qualified doctors and Danielle is currently working at Oxford University where she is undertaking research into diabetes. Fiona, his wife, is a consultant at Weightmans, where she heads the matrimonial department. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys endurance cycling (generally between cake stops), losing golf balls on sundry West Midlands golf courses and suffering with his beloved Burnley Football Club. In his youth, he played tennis for the county and once played football as goalkeeper for the Manchester University first team until the captain decided that he couldn't even catch a cold!
Training
Andrew Kay was educated at Solihull School and studied law at Manchester University (1979 - 1982,) where he was awarded the International Law prize, and Chester Law College (1982 - 1983) before joining Blakemores Solicitors in 1983. He subsequently joined Sydney Mitchell Solicitors where he became a partner, specialising in residential and commercial property law.
